One of the biggest complaints I hear about video is that it’s so time consuming.  It takes forever just to make one video.  I’ve found a solution.  I call it the, “Massive Video Production Strategy”  This allows you to make the most amount of videos in the least amount of time and work.  By using this strategy, I was able to shoot, edit, upload and optimize 30 videos in 9 hours.
Starting a podcast, like making a YouTube channel or blog, comes down to telling interesting stories and building an engaged audience. I’m probably sounding like a broken record by now, but you need a niche that you’re interested in and there’s already a demand for. Come up with a list of topics you’d like to talk about and then search iTunes charts, Google Trends and other podcast research sites like cast.market to see what’s currently out there and popular.
However, in this niche, you’ll find it very easy to form strategic alliances (joint ventures) with others in your niche. Traffic sources such as adswaps and integration marketing can be extremely effective ways of growing your list and getting traffic to your site. Also, high-profile article writing spots are available in abundance and there are hundreds of forums from which you can get highly targeted visitors. Warrior Forum is one of my favorite.
If you are working for a global company, like Google, the business probably has already established an infrastructure for interoffice communication, which makes it easy for remote workers. Plus, staying at home means the office -- which might go to extreme lengths to lure talented tech workers -- can save on free lunches, snacks and perks. It’s a win-win for both employers and workers.
4. Use product placement and video sponsorship: Companies interested in your channel’s audience might sponsor your videos or offer you product placement deals in exchange for a shout out. You’ll likely receive payments on a per-sale basis or in commission tiers. Search on sites such as ShareASale, Clickbank and CJ Affiliate by Conversant for possible corporate partners — and be sure you’re willing to vouch for the company and products you’re selling before signing up.
Consider start-up costs. Your start-up costs largely depend on the type of content you're putting out. For "Pittsburgh Dad," the cost to launch the show was virtually nothing, Preksta says. The first episode required just three supplies: Preksta's iPhone, a polo shirt from Goodwill and a pair of glasses. The show hasn't required much of an investment in technology since, "At the end of the day, it's me, Curt and a couple of lights," Preksta says.
Another suggestion is leveraging the marketplaces out there. This is great if you suck at selling and marketing because you're tapping into existing traffic sources. Think: Amazon, iTunes for apps, podcasts, music, Udemy for info products, Zazzle for tshirts, Etsy for handmade things. There are so many marketplaces out there. I would honestly select a marketplace based around something you're interested in. Make some money there. Then create a course about your success and results and then eventually sell that course on your own site or platform, then proceed to reach out to bloggers, and podcasters to give them content, and create your own buzz. It's pretty simple to engineer your own success and fame, but it does take some effort.
