Not necessarily new, but definitely a great opportunity! Jen Henson was a teacher in Ohio when she was approached by her principal to tutor an athlete preparing for ACT testing. He had a full ride offer from a college but need the test scores to seal the deal. After hearing about the results Jen was able to help this student achieve, he’s in the NFL today, she started being approached by other coaches.
Alternatively, you can partner with an existing merchandising network for creators such as DFTBA (Don’t Forget to Be Awesome). However, you'll be competing with other YouTubers in a marketplace and have less control over adding products, offering discounts, integrating your content, and all the advantages that come with owning your own ecommerce site.

Hi Jeff… great content! Of all the methods you mentioned, I like YouTube the most but I’ve decided to get back into blogging too to combine with my YouTube efforts. For some reason, a lot of people seem to think that blogs are dying and are a thing of the past since social media platforms are all the rage now but I beg to differ as I’m sure you probably would too.
Do you have a big ticket item or two that you only use part-time? We are living in an age of “peer sharing” which has opened a door to earning income from renting everything from RVs (Outdoorsy) to sailboats (see Sailo). This works for smaller items, too. KitSplit lets you lend out professional cameras. If you have a desirable item that costs more than the average person can afford, someone out there may be willing to pay to borrow it.
Research other listings in your city on AirBnB and see what the going rate is for a place like yours. You could also just rent out a private room as well or even a bed in a shared room. In fact, that's how AirBnB got its start. However, you might find it hard in the beginning without reviews, but as long as you take really good care of your guests and provide a lot of value, the reviews will eventually come rolling in.
Mechanical Turk: Amazon's Mechanical Turk is a resource for doing human-intelligence tasks, or as the site commonly refers to them, HITs. You get paid a very small fee for any given HIT and you'll need a good deal of volume to make a substantial amount of money. But it is a resource you can use in your spare time to generate a small income online.
Despite the bleak profitability outlook, Google kept investing in YouTube. There were the operational investments that were needed to deliver all that content at speed, and there were payments to the content creators in the partner network. Soon, every uploader could have a cut of the ad revenue a video might produce. With the lower ad rates and people’s propensity to skip ads, most YouTube videos made little to no money.
Find your niche partners, collaborators, and champions: As you’re creating your course, look for notable people who are also creating content in the space. Look att how their businesses operate and incorporate that into your own plan. You can also reach out to any influencers and make them affiliates for your own course. This way, they’ll be incentivized to share your content with their own audiences (which can be a major way to generate your first sales—it helps if you're using one of the best CRMs for small business—and start building your own community!)
It’s amazing how many people I know starting you tube channels and expecting to upload two-five videos a day thinking the many views are what’s going to be making them money, just like the rest of the people here lead by fulse information thinking the more views the more money. They think there’s only one way things are done and when they find out it’s not what they thought they take it out on the person trying to help.
If talking on the phone is not practical for you, you can still work a customer service job from home. Many of the same companies that hire call center agents, also hire chat agents. And in addition to these customer service chat jobs, there are other online chat jobs from home. These include answering questions, doing internet research, moderating in social media and more.
So ya I agree with you there 100%. Once you have the knowledge though I think its really important to try new things. For example I made a ton in Online Poker back in 2005-2007.. Now its nearly impossible to make real money in that industry. Things get hot then saturated. For people doing seo/sem its totally different though.. thats about 10% of my business. 90% is all direct response marketing, ppc.. It is definitely much easier to test new niches with ppc.
Run virtual errands. If you have a computer with Internet connection and are good at searching the Web and communicating with others, you can become a virtual personal assistant with Fancy Hands. The service hires assistants, who set their own hours, to help its users tackle tasks such as making calls to service providers, scheduling appointments, and finding the best prices for services and products. You get paid per task, starting at between $3 and $7.

You can also sign up for Patreon, which allows you to launch membership-only video channels through YouTube at a small fee per month for regular rewards. Just imagine how much a YouTube channel could generate if it has the 1,000 subscribers required by the YPP. Charge $1 for a new channel with new content, and you could be looking at a solid monthly revenue stream.
Once you’ve learned how to make your first dollar, what’s stopping you from making your next? This course contains simple instructions on monetizing your YouTube Channel.  Inside the eBook are exclusive links to video walkthroughs, so you can see exactly how I do everything.  You’re watching my screen as I do it. I’ve divided the actual course into 5 sections; Disruption, Research, Production, Optimization and Monetization.  Each section contains step by step instructions, video walkthroughs and a checklist to help you know what needs to be done.
Say you get 10 of your friends to agree to click your ads all day (which would be the absolute worst job in the world). First of all, ads don’t even show up every time you watch a video. It might take 5-10+ times clicking on a video to get an ad to show up. Next, in order to get paid, viewers have to watch at least :30 of the ad before clicking on it. Once someone does click, it’s only worth a few cents. At that rate, even with 10 of your friends doing that, you’re not even going to make minimum wage.
Keep in mind though, you don’t need a website to do sponsored content since you can also get paid if you have a lot of social media followers. My wife has a pretty big Instagram following, and she gets all kinds of sponsorships. Not only does she get paid in cash, but we get a lot of free stuff, too. We’ve received free rugs, free lights, and free carpet cleaners. She only promotes things she loves though, so this strategy works really well for her.
