Google has a few different options for expanding YouTube. One is a monthly subscription to view an ad-free version of YouTube with additional exclusive videos that non-paying users can’t access. In Autumn 2015 the company rolled out YouTube Red — a subscription service that allows watching ad-free videos and listen to music without interruptions for $9.99 a month. YouTube Red that was probably intended as a competitor to Netflix, also includes original shows and movies. Around the same time, the company launched YouTube music app, which is free with ads, but offers an enhanced music experience if a consumer is simultaneously subscribed to YouTube Red. 
I really disagree with this comment. Im sure you can find success in one niche if it has infinite scale and traffic sources. If you are good enough at driving targeted traffic you can be in multiple niches/products/markets with almost the same amount of effort. I have done millions in over 6 niches.. if I stayed in one I feel like I wouldn't even be close to the net worth I am now. I would focus on one working niche until you have enough stability to test 10 others. The internet landscape is always changing and most things that work are getting saturated like crazy. Stay nimble and adjust.
In the planning stage, which must be done, you need to narrow down on why you are marketing and what you marketing. Making money must be factored into the equation, but money isn’t enough to drive people to push through all the resistance, patience, and hard work that is required to be successful. If your primary goal is making money you are subject to take the path of least resistance which may potentially land you in jail and/or hated and scorned by your customers.
You’ll also need to have some technical know-how if you want to be marketable as an online writer. You don’t need to be Bill Gates, but you should at least know how to add a link and crop a picture. You can practice some of these skills by playing around with a free WordPress site, experimenting with features and publishing a few stories. That way, you can gain experience and create a small portfolio of articles you can share with other businesses when you want to start applying to writing jobs. According to Payscale.com, the average annual salary for a writer in the U.S. is about $48,000.
